JETSON TX2 DEVELOPER PACKAGE

We’ve partnered with NVIDIA to offer a Jackal built around the Jetson TX2: a fast, efficient computing device, ideal for robotics development. The JETSON TX2 developer package takes advantage of NVIDIA’s standard hardware interfaces and graphics processing capabilities. Built around a powerful GPU and loaded with 8GB of memory and 59.7 GB/s of memory bandwidth, the Jetson is the preferred computing platform for VSLAM, 3D imaging and machine learning applications.

The Jackal Explorer Package is designed for basic autonomous operation in both indoor and outdoor environments. Applications range from GPS waypoint navigation with laser-based collision avoidance, to indoor mapping and path planning. A powerful Mini-ITX computer system comes pre-installed with Linux and ROS; all component ROS drivers are installed and pre-configured.

The Jackal Vision Package includes two front-facing Flea3 cameras for stereo vision, an upgraded GPU graphics card and a high performance computer. This package comes with a pre-installed CUDA toolkit, and is fully supported with ROS, RViz (visualization), and Gazebo (simulator).

The Jackal Navigator Packagep combines a high-end RTK (real-time kinematic) GPS system with a long-range base station to enable localization accuracy to less than 1 in (2 cm) and remote communication up to 0.62 mi (1 km).

JACKAL MANIPULATION

The Jackal Manipulator Package integrates the small light-weight 4-DOF Kinova MICO arm and includes a 2-finger gripper and torque, position and acceleration sensors in each actuator. This package is fully supported with ROS, MoveIt! (motion planner), RViz (visualization), and Gazebo (simulator).
